Drawings from January

Not that, with the semester in full swing, I have time to waste doodling BUT I have decided to get more into drawing, because drawings of these characters and their world are really helpful, important, and meaningful to me. Normally drawings that I actually like are few and far between, but January came and went and two drawings happened!

I don't draw or share my drawings because I think I am great at this, but because being able to make any art of the Undine Isles world always feels like a miracle, and I thought something that feels so joyful to me should be the thing I use to christen this blog.

I finished the first drawing, "Angela Solves the Riddle," on Angela's birthday and like posted a really long explanation of some of the weirder elements on Instagram. I finished the second one, "Cam," this week. It is specifically supposed to be the moment when Freds first meets Cam, like someone's hair obviously wouldn't do that if they had had it in a helmet for hours, but I thought it would be silly and also look cooler to imagine the way our lovestruck young Fredeline first processes the start of this glorious ship, embellishments and all.
